Description
The Savage Raven NeoGrip for Nintendo Switch 2 is an ergonomic grip shell designed specifically for Nintendo Switch 2 players who want larger handholds without giving up access to the system’s dock or built-in kickstand.
The main feature is its interchangeable grip system.
Instead of giving everyone the same grip shape, the NeoGrip includes three different grip designs. Players can swap between them to find the shape that works better for their hand size, preferred holding position, or the type of game they are playing.
The grips attach using a sliding mechanism, so changing the grip shape does not require replacing the entire shell.
This gives the NeoGrip more flexibility than a standard ergonomic case with permanently molded handles.
The central shell is made from hard polycarbonate and wraps around the Switch 2 while leaving important areas accessible. The game-card slot, ventilation openings, buttons, controls, and rear kickstand remain available while the grip is installed.
The hard shell also adds a degree of everyday protection around the console. However, the NeoGrip should primarily be considered an ergonomic grip with some protective coverage, rather than a heavy-duty protective case.
Another important advantage is dock compatibility.
The NeoGrip is designed so the Switch 2 can remain inside the shell when placed into the dock. That can make it more convenient for players who frequently switch between handheld and TV play.
The original Switch 2 kickstand also remains usable, allowing the console to move between handheld, tabletop, and docked setups without requiring the NeoGrip to be removed.
Overall, this is a more configurable alternative to fixed ergonomic grips, especially for households where multiple people may use the same Switch 2 or for players who aren’t sure which grip size will be most comfortable.

📝 Koinlift Notes
I think the biggest reason to choose the NeoGrip over a cheaper fixed grip is the three interchangeable grip shapes.
Hand size makes a pretty big difference with ergonomic accessories. A grip that feels comfortable to one person can feel too large, too small, or shaped incorrectly to someone else.
The NeoGrip gives you more room to experiment instead of forcing you to decide on one grip shape before you’ve actually used it.
That’s especially useful if you’re not sure whether you want something closer to a smaller extension of the Joy-Con 2 or a larger controller-style handle.
I also like that Savage Raven didn’t make the grip system interfere with the rest of the Switch 2. You can still use the original kickstand, access the game-card slot, and move into docked mode without removing the shell.
That makes this much easier to leave installed permanently than something like the OIVO ergonomic grip, where the main focus is handheld comfort and you may have to work around the larger grip design in other situations.
It’s also a little different from the Spigen Dual Grip.
The Spigen is a simpler all-in-one option with fixed grips and protective materials. The NeoGrip is more focused on customizing the ergonomics by letting you change the actual grip shape.
If handheld comfort is one of your main priorities, I think that flexibility can justify choosing this over one of the basic budget grip cases.
The hard PC shell also gives you some protection around the console, but I wouldn’t treat that as the main reason to buy it. It’s still an open grip design, so you’ll want a proper carrying case when putting the Switch 2 in a backpack or taking it on a trip.
Savage Raven also sells carrying cases specifically designed to accommodate Switch 2 setups using products such as the NeoGrip, which may be worth considering if you plan to leave the grip installed.
Another advantage here is the brand itself.
Skull & Co. has been making ergonomic grips and handheld gaming accessories for years, particularly for Nintendo Switch systems. The company is now operating under the Savage Raven name, but the NeoGrip continues the same type of interchangeable-grip design Skull & Co. became known for.
Overall, I would look at the NeoGrip as a more customizable ergonomic upgrade for Switch 2 players who spend a lot of time handheld but still want an easy transition into tabletop and docked play.
If you’re mainly looking for the cheapest possible grip, there are simpler options. If you care about finding the grip shape that actually fits your hands, the NeoGrip becomes much more interesting.
