Description

The Savage Raven StandGrip for Nintendo Switch 2 is a soft protective grip case designed primarily around handheld gaming.

Instead of using large interchangeable handles like the NeoGrip, the StandGrip builds its ergonomic sections directly into the protective shell. This creates a simpler all-in-one design for players who want better grip and everyday protection without using a larger modular system.

Textured areas around the handholds increase friction between the case and your hands. This can provide a more secure hold while also giving your fingers more surface area to rest against during longer handheld sessions.

The softer protective material wraps around the Switch 2 and is designed to provide additional cushioning against everyday bumps and minor impacts. It also helps protect the body of the console from scratches and normal wear.

The StandGrip includes an integrated 75-degree tabletop stand. This allows the Switch 2 to remain upright when placed on a desk or table without needing another stand accessory.

Savage Raven also changed the shape around the shoulder buttons to provide additional finger clearance. This is intended to reduce the chance of the case interfering with your fingers while using the triggers during handheld play.

A wider opening around the game-card slot makes it possible to change physical games without removing the case.

Compared with Savage Raven’s NeoGrip, the StandGrip takes a simpler approach. There are no interchangeable grip pieces to manage, making it better suited to someone who wants to install one case and use it primarily as an everyday handheld accessory.

📝 Koinlift Notes

I think this is a particularly good budget option if you spend most of your time playing the Switch 2 in handheld mode.

Savage Raven actually positions the StandGrip around handheld players, and that makes sense when you look at the design. The textured grips, softer shell, shoulder-button clearance, and built-in stand all revolve around making the console easier to use without adding a complicated grip system.

The price category also makes this interesting because Savage Raven/Skull & Co. is already a recognizable name in handheld gaming accessories.

There are plenty of inexpensive generic grip cases on Amazon, but with this you’re getting a budget option from a company that has been making Switch grips and carrying accessories for years.

That gives it a slightly different position from some of the unknown marketplace grip cases we’ve looked at.

I would also compare this directly with the NeoGrip.

The NeoGrip is the better option if you care about customizing the grip shape. Its three interchangeable grip styles give you much more control over how the Switch 2 feels in your hands.

The StandGrip is simpler.

You put it on, get the added grip and protection, and use it as an everyday handheld case. For someone who doesn’t want to experiment with different grip sizes, that simplicity can actually be an advantage.

I also like the textured surface. Larger grips alone don’t always solve handheld comfort if the material still feels slippery. Adding more friction can make it easier to hold the Switch 2 without gripping it as tightly.

The 75-degree stand is another useful extra. It’s not an adjustable multi-angle system, but it gives you a stable tabletop position without needing another accessory.

The improved shoulder-button area is a small detail, but it’s the type of thing that matters on a grip case. If the shell makes the triggers harder to reach, better ergonomics around the handles don’t help much.

The main question I would ask before choosing this is how often you play docked.

This product makes the most sense as a handheld-first case. If your Switch 2 constantly moves between handheld and TV mode, I would also consider Savage Raven’s NeoGrip or another grip case built specifically around easy docking.

But if your Switch 2 spends most of its time in your hands, I think the StandGrip makes a lot of sense.

Overall, I would look at this as a good lower-cost handheld comfort and protection upgrade from a well-known handheld accessory brand. It isn’t trying to be the most customizable grip or the most rugged case. It gives you better grip, some protection, and a stand in one relatively simple package.
